Preparations for Nashik’s Mahakumbh 2026 are in full swing, marked by the triumphant wrap-up of the intensive 48-hour ‘X Trimbak’ joint counter-terror exercise. NSG and Nashik City Police orchestrated this vital operation to safeguard the anticipated multitudes of faithful.
Centered at Trimbakeshwar Temple and Kalaram Temple, the drill under Colonel Abhishek Singh involved 150 experts testing assault countermeasures, mass evacuation protocols, injury triage, and multi-force integration.
Collaborators included state reserves, explosive ordnance teams, emergency responders, medical corps, administrative bodies, and temple custodians. Emphasis was on command cohesion and operational fluidity across simulated crises.
The administration’s foresight reflects the event’s enormity, where security cannot be compromised. This drill not only honed skills but also built confidence in collective response capabilities. Regular iterations are pledged to deliver a serene and protected Kumbh experience.
