Deepak Baij, head of Chhattisgarh Congress, painted a grim picture of BJP rule, claiming the state is on the brink of collapse under mounting debts and flawed policies. In Raipur, he ridiculed the Holi liquor sales decision, proposing an extreme alternative: perpetual shop hours for revenue generation.
Baij dissected the fiscal crisis meticulously. “Borrowing billions, doubling power costs, inflating property rates, raiding merchants—nothing works. Booze hikes led to this festival gimmick. If that’s the plan, open 24/7 and be done with it,” he quipped.
Optimism flowed as Baij discussed Assam elections. “Congress is battle-ready, Priyanka Gandhi campaigning tirelessly. BJP’s two terms exposed their incompetence; public mood is shifting. Vote-buying via women’s incentives is their Bihar rerun.”
Baij reserved sharp words for Delhi too, decrying the AI Summit sham. “Modi’s crew is tarnishing India’s reputation, rebranding Chinese tech through Galgotias University collusion,” he accused.
Finally, Baij teased high-profile Congress visits post-Holi. “Rahul Gandhi and Kharge will grace us, with lavish events unmasking BJP failures on MGNREGA and beyond. Party faithful are thrilled, preparations in full swing.”
