Lucknow buzzed with political rhetoric as Congress’s Surendra Rajput endorsed the Youth Congress protest at the AI Impact Summit. ‘It’s their right under the Constitution, and we beam with pride,’ he affirmed, framing it as principled resistance.
Supporting Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, Rajput accused the BJP of systemic prejudice against communities, faiths, and Sanatan ethos. ‘Today’s fake guardians demand proof from real ones, instructing Shankaracharyas and beating disciples,’ he alleged in a pointed broadside.
Delving into U.S.-India relations, Rajput noted the impact of American tariffs and judgments. He commended U.S. judicial integrity, juxtaposing it against Indian opposition-targeted rulings like Rahul Gandhi’s Gujarat sentence. ‘Global effects matter, but our judicial fairness is questioned,’ he remarked.
Targeting the central leadership, Rajput faulted it for yielding to U.S. trade pressures under Modi and Trump. ‘Forced choices on oil imports signal eroding sovereignty,’ he warned, demanding proactive economic diplomacy.
On UP government remarks by Suresh Khanna regarding religious practices, Rajput insisted on equal justice. ‘Be it speakers blaring, processions clogging streets, or holy site disputes, law rules supreme for everyone,’ he concluded, advocating balanced secularism.
