The Election Commission of India capped off Rajasthan’s voter list revision with the final publication on February 21, excising over 31 lakh names to reach 5,15,19,929 total voters—a cleaner slate for elections ahead.
From 5.46 crore in October 2025, the SIR process omitted 41.84 lakh from the draft, hitting 5.04 crore. Later, 12.91 lakh joined while 2.42 lakh exited, reflecting a 3.13 million net loss.
Voter breakdown: 269.57 lakh men, 245.61 lakh women, 562 transgenders. Net addition of 10.48 lakh (2.08%) post-SIR, led by Jaipur’s 3.45% and Phalodi’s 3.22%.
Notably, gender ratio rose to 911 (+2), with Jaipur up 7 points, Kota 6. The 18-19 age group ballooned by 4.35 lakh (0.82%), strongest in Jaipur (1.30%), Barmer (1.26%), Bharatpur (1.22%).
This initiative not only rectified discrepancies but boosted inclusivity, particularly among youth and women, fortifying Rajasthan’s electoral foundation for credible, transparent voting.
