Terror struck Dharmpur Mor in Jamtara when three masked gunmen on a motorcycle assassinated a local driver in full public view. The victim, 40-year-old Furkan Ansari, was enjoying his morning meal at a roadside stall under Narayanpur police jurisdiction.
Around 9 AM, the assailants roared in on an Apache bike, unleashing fatal shots to Ansari’s face. They punctuated their escape with aerial firing, heightening the dread before melting away. Bystanders’ desperate rush to the hospital ended in tragedy as medics confirmed his death.
Narayanpur police descended on the spot, bagging three khokhas and dispatching the body for autopsy. Extensive searches blanket the vicinity as teams hunt for leads on the attackers.
The murder sparked protests from family and community members, who decried the daylight daring and demanded accountability. With no clear motive yet—personal rivalry tops the list—investigators are leaving no stone unturned. This brazen hit has amplified security concerns, pushing for enhanced surveillance and rapid response strategies in Jharkhand’s volatile zones.
