Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inspired 9,000+ Grameen Dak Sevaks in Guntur, calling Andhra Pradesh the spearhead of India Post’s journey to modernity and strength.
The platform shared with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu stirred emotions, as Scindia recalled their deep-rooted friendship spanning generations, including Naidu’s work with his grandmother and father.
Evoking heritage, Scindia noted a local town named after his family and his great-grandfather’s foundational role in coastal shipping and shipyards before 1947.
He honored rural dak sevaks as Mother India’s brightest assets, masters of village needs, serving relentlessly from Uttarakhand’s heights to AP shores, linking governance and citizens in 6.5 lakh villages.
Past reforms under him brought GDS umbrellas, shoes, supplies, cycle allowances, and 2009’s school admission rights for their children.
India Post’s 38 crore accounts with Rs 22 trillion underscore trust.
Guided by Modi’s ‘Reform, Perform, Transform,’ the department is being re-engineered. Andhra’s vibrant economy positions it to lead parcel growth amid rising exports, SMEs, e-tail. With 165,000+ outlets, India Post is set to thrive competitively.
