From the heart of Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi emerges a blood-soaked end to a 15-year forbidden romance. Johnson Minj, tormented by wife Biula Toppo’s liaison with Asif Ansari, contracted his death for 8 lakh rupees through a network of friends turned killers. Ranchi police’s meticulous probe has led to arrests, exposing the conspiracy’s every layer.
The fatal encounter happened on February 19 in Anand Vihar, Khelgaon jurisdiction. Asif, en route to meet Biula, was shot and then savagely disfigured with boulders to erase traces. DSP Sanjeev Besra of Sadar division confirmed the long-standing affair, noting the pair’s illicit meetings during Johnson’s absences.
Unable to end the relationship amicably, Johnson turned to violence, funding Deepak Agarwal (4 lakh), Prem Lakda (2.4 lakh), and Prince Kumar (1.6 lakh) for the job. Seized evidence includes the illicit firearm and getaway vehicles, leaving no room for doubt.
This harrowing case spotlights the lethal consequences of infidelity and rage. With Biula, Johnson, and the hitmen behind bars, Ranchi police exemplify resolve in dismantling such murderous schemes, offering closure to a shattered community.
