Delhi’s India International Centre transforms into a handloom haven with the Pariskriti exhibition, live from February 22 to 28, 2026. Artisans and weavers from 20 states, including many national laureates, bypass brokers to sell directly, fueling sector growth.
Dr. M. Bina, Handlooms Development Commissioner, underscored the strategy: ‘This premium location draws affluent buyers, maximizing artisan gains and exposure. Following last year’s hit, annual events will build lasting prestige and market savvy.’
Representing Varanasi, 2023 National Award winner Angika Kushwaha offers an array of traditional attire – sarees, lehengas, shawls. ‘It’s empowering to price our authentic work fairly and connect personally,’ she noted, praising the Textiles Ministry’s role in scaling their reach.
Khokan Nandi from West Bengal narrates Jamdani’s journey: ‘Childhood in weaving, village decline from low wages – but government aid reignites passion. Displaying in Delhi is exhilarating,’ he said. His offerings boast superior design and 100% handwoven integrity.
More than a marketplace, Pariskriti crafts narratives of resilience and innovation. It links grassroots talent to metropolitan demand, enhances brand equity, and safeguards artisanal legacies. As participation swells, the expo heralds a new era of prosperity for handlooms nationwide.
