Punjab National Bank has officially partnered with the Jharkhand government through a freshly signed MoU targeting salary account facilities for state employees, announced Tuesday in Ranchi. CM Hemant Soren, at the high-profile event, celebrated the pact as a fresh milestone in state-banking synergy.
Delivering his remarks, the Chief Minister outlined how banks underpin economic activities for people and personnel alike, spanning commerce, farming, and village upliftment. Institutions bear social obligations too, he added, with this MoU extending a chain of productive bank-state understandings already in motion.
Soren extended warm felicitations to PNB’s team, confident of their prowess in executing the deal’s objectives. Benefits are set to flow to government workers via optimized accounts—think seamless credits, ancillary benefits, and tech-driven conveniences—while spilling over to community welfare.
The gathering featured an array of leaders: Ministers Radhakrishna Kishore, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpi Neha Tirkey; Principal Secretary Avinash Kumar; PNB GM Ashish Kumar Chaturvedi, Zonal Head Avdhesh Jha, and Deputy Rakesh Kumar Srivastava.
In the broader context, this collaboration bolsters Jharkhand’s modernization efforts, aligning with national pushes for direct benefit transfers and financial literacy. It positions PNB strongly in the competitive landscape, potentially inspiring similar models elsewhere and contributing to inclusive growth trajectories.
