Chief Minister Pema Khandu spearheaded a vital educational push by inaugurating Arunachal Pradesh’s pioneering Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Center in Doimukh, Papum Pare, on Thursday. True to NEP 2020 and Nipun Bharat ethos, it vows to deliver core literacy and math competencies to every child by Class 3, infused with local relevance.
Khandu passionately advocated during the launch: foundational prowess underpins lifelong success; early deficits spell trouble ahead. The center pioneers playful, systematic, kid-oriented teaching in state schools, leveraging home languages, adaptive feedback loops, faculty development, and community buy-in for holistic growth.
Literacy pillars include interactive stories for verbal growth, sound-blending reads, comprehension guides, dictation practice, and script skills. A state-of-the-art Android board streams CBSE digital aids for dynamic sessions. Numeracy builds via tangible aids, pictorial reps, abstract mastery—honing counts, calculations, real-world problems, and teammate synergy.
Enriching it all is a cultural wing showcasing Arunachal’s ethnic tapestries and heritage insights, ensuring learners embrace their legacy. This initiative heralds a brighter, more equitable educational tomorrow for the state.
