Mizoram University in Aizawl hosts its 20th convocation on the 7th, with Radhakrishnan as chief guest after skips in 2024-25. Highlights include gold medals for 283 students and PhDs for 149 researchers, alongside degrees and certificates. The tour concludes March 8 at Tripura University’s 14th convocation in Suryamaninagar, Agartala outskirts. Radhakrishnan’s inauguration will feature speeches from Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, CM Manik Saha, and Chancellor Ahmad Javed. Acting leaders Shyamal Das and Samir Kumar Shil consulted the Governor at Raj Bhavan on operational readiness.
Born in 1987 and upgraded centrally in 2007 under dedicated legislation, Tripura University affiliates 64 colleges amid expansion. Efforts intensify for appointing a new VC via the Education Ministry.
