A beacon of hope from Manipur: 24 diverse youth from Meitei, Kuki, Naga, and Muslim Pangal communities embarked on a transformative 11-day National Integration Tour, flagged off by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh. Covering Kerala to West Bengal, the Assam Rifles-organized journey (March 3-13) hits highlights like Kanyakumari, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
At Keithelmanbi’s Assam Rifles site, Singh hailed the inclusive selection—six per group—as a testament to unity. He spotlighted the force’s evacuation of over 47,000 during ethnic unrest, praising their dedication.
‘Past rifts shouldn’t rob our youth of opportunities,’ Singh implored. ‘Together, embrace peace and growth.’ Personal touches shone in interactions, from Kuki greetings to motivational pep talks, with kits and unity flags distributed to mixed teams.
State aid promised, the CM urged immersive learning. This initiative arrives timely, countering divisions with shared experiences. It underscores youth’s role in healing, potentially redefining Manipur’s narrative from conflict to cohesion across India’s vibrant states.
