Patna buzzed as BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal tore into West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, charging her with belittling President Droupadi Murmu due to her Adivasi roots. ‘Bengal’s masses will extract revenge for this outrage,’ he proclaimed to gathered journalists.
The row ignited post President Murmu’s annoyance at an event site change in the state, fueling BJP’s aggressive stance against TMC. Jaiswal minced no words: ‘Banerjee can’t digest a simple Odisha teacher from the tribes helming the nation. Her words and protocol defiance mirror her warped views.’
He rallied public sentiment: ‘The nation will rebuke Banerjee for tarnishing the President’s image.’
His X outburst was equally vehement: ‘Overlooking President Murmu and tribal honor is deplorable. TMC has breached all bounds of respect. The presidency soars beyond politics—its sanctity must prevail. Banerjee’s sordid maneuvers ravage democracy.’
Jaiswal also backed Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant’s political foray. ‘Politics thrives with educated minds; his addition will uplift discourse. All are welcome.’
Celebrating International Women’s Day, he extolled: ‘Women’s feats span family to national realms, unmatched and motivating. Let’s fortify resolutions for their dignity, protection, empowerment. Hearty felicitations to every matriarch, sibling, and child.’
