Asian Games 2023, India Medals Updates: Indian warriors continue to perform brilliantly in the Asian Games 2023. India has won 95 medals till Friday 6th October. This includes 22 gold, 34 silver and 39 bronze. Before the start of the Asiad, it was being predicted that this time India would create history and cross the 100 mark. That dream has almost been fulfilled and all that is left is the official seal of approval. There are still two days left for the tournament to end and seven medals have been confirmed in India’s account.

The sports in which India has been confirmed to get medals in the Asian Games 2023 are Archery, Kabaddi, Cricket and Badminton. The Indian team has secured three medals in archery and two medals in Kabaddi. Apart from this, one medal each in cricket and badminton is also certain.

Asian Games 2023 becomes memorable for India
Asian Games 2023 has become memorable for India. This is the first time when the country is certain to get more than 100 medals. Earlier, India’s best performance in the Asian Games was 70 medals. India had made this record in the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta.
Asian Games 2023 is being played in Hangzhou
This time the Asian Games 2023 is being held in Hangzhou city of China. Like every time, this time too the Chinese players are seeing excellent performance in the tournament. Till the time of writing the news, the host team is on top with 348 medals. By the end of the 13th day, China has won 185 gold, 104 silver and 59 bronze medals. These games were to be held in 2022 but they could not be held that year due to disruption in the schedule due to Covid.
