Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its third list for the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. In this list released late on Thursday night, names of 11 people have been announced by ‘AAP’. Voting for a total of 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh will be held in two phases on November 7 and 17 and counting of votes will take place on December 3.
Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party’s 11 candidates whose names have been announced in the third list for Chhattisgarh assembly elections include – Dr. Akash Jashwal (Baikunthpur), Chandrakant Diksena (Katghora), Manbhajan Tandon (Lormi), Deepak Patre. (Mungeli), Durgalal Kevat (Nishad) (Jaijapur), Lekhram Sahu (Kasdol), Jashwant Sinha (Gunderdehi), Sanjeet Vishwakarma (Durg Rural), Chameli Kurre (Pandariya), Jagmohan Baghel (Bastar) and Narendra Bhawani (Jagdalpur). Names of are included.

In the first phase, nomination papers will be scrutinized on October 21 and nominations can be withdrawn till October 23. Whereas for the second phase, notification will be issued on 21st October and nominations can be filed till 30th October. In Chhattisgarh, nomination papers for the second phase will be scrutinized on October 31 and nomination papers can be withdrawn till November 2.
It is noteworthy that there is a Congress government in Chhattisgarh. BJP is in the role of the main opposition party. In the 2018 assembly elections, AAP had fielded 85 candidates in Chhattisgarh, but the deposits of all of them were forfeited. The elections for the 90-member House were won by the Congress, which won 68 out of 90 seats and ousted the Bharatiya Janata Party after 15 years in power. BJP had secured only 15 seats.
