Let us tell you that on 20 October 2023, a heart-wrenching incident took place in Thihaipara forest of village Ganpatpur. It was the girl’s lover who cheated on her and called her to the jungle and raped her. During this swinging and shaking, the girl came in contact with the 11 thousand volt live wire and got seriously burnt. Leaving her in this condition, the lover accused and his friend ran away. After some time, some people saw the girl in an unconscious state in the forest and informed the police about the incident, after which the girl was admitted to Baikunthpur District Hospital. However, after the incident, the police registered a case of rape and arrested the accused Nilesh Kumar (alleged lover) and his associate Bechan Sai Yadav and sent them to jail.
According to the information, the family members discharged the rape victim girl, who was admitted to the District Hospital Baikunthpur in a critical condition after 20 days, and took her home. Due to lack of proper care at home, she suffered from a serious disease like septicemia. The girl’s condition kept worsening day by day.
After that, IOCL asked the girl lying at home in a critical condition to be taken to a good hospital in Raipur for treatment. A local official took the initiative. After the activation of the local district administration, the girl was brought to Raipur in critical condition. During this time the girl was on oxygen and her hemoglobin had reached 2 grams, the infection had spread throughout her body. His hope of survival was gone. On 22 February 2024, despite many hours of tireless efforts, the girl could not be admitted to any government hospital. After this, in view of his critical condition, he was admitted to a private burn unit at Pachpedhi Naka. As soon as the Health Minister came to know about the matter, he took immediate action and got about Rs 22 lakh sanctioned for treatment in two installments through the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme.
