New Delhi: The BJP on Saturday claimed the Kejriwal authorities scrapped its new excise coverage because it was “scared” by the lieutenant governor’s advice for a CBI probe into its implementation. Union minister and New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi requested the Aam Aadmi Celebration (AAP) authorities to reply the questions and fees of corruption levelled by the BJP leaders for the reason that implementation of the brand new excise coverage. “The Kejriwal authorities in Delhi is frightened of the CBI probe that might expose its corruption and has therefore taken again its new excise coverage. The AAP ought to reply why fee of licensees below the coverage was elevated from 2.5 per cent to 12 per cent,” she stated at a media briefing.
Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta stated the AAP authorities’s resolution to scrap its new coverage was a victory of Delhiites and the BJP employees who have been protesting in opposition to it.
He alleged that the AAP spent the cash, thus generated, within the Punjab Meeting elections.
The Kejriwal authorities can’t absolve itself from answering questions over “corruption of crores of rupees” by merely withdrawing the coverage, he stated, including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took again the excise coverage to “save himself from the CBI probe”.
“Corruption price crores of rupees dedicated by the Kejriwal authorities cannot be hidden just by him withdrawing this excise coverage below stress by the BJP and the folks. The corrupt, together with Sisodia, will go to jail,” Gupta claimed.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who additionally holds the excise portfolio, introduced earlier that the Excise Coverage 2021-22 has been withdrawn, and now, the federal government will run liquor shops within the metropolis for six months.
West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma, who had raised the problem of alleged corruption, stated in Parliament that scrapping of the excise coverage was a victory of the folks and defeat of the Kejriwal authorities.
Chief of Opposition in Delhi Meeting Ramvir Singh Bidhuri claimed the brand new excise coverage had failed to spice up income regardless of Sisodia’s claims that the coverage led to income.
