Luxury cars crafted from wood are a recurring sensation in the automotive world. The latest example, a Bentley Continental GT created in Belgium, has captured the internet’s attention. Its most notable aspect is the price tag: $98,900, equivalent to roughly 87 lakh rupees. This sum could purchase a pre-owned Bentley that could be driven on the road.
This wooden Bentley Continental GT mirrors the appearance of a genuine British luxury vehicle. The design is credited to ND Woodworking Art, known for its wooden car creations. The entire car is constructed from marine-grade plywood. The process took over 3,000 hours, involving the meticulous assembly of thousands of wooden pieces to form a robust wooden Bentley Continental GT.
The artwork draws inspiration from the third-generation Continental GT (2017-2024) with its large grille, bumper inlets, exhaust outlets, and oval-shaped headlamps. Dark finishes around the headlights and taillights enhance the visual appeal, complemented by 3D emblems that enhance its lifelike quality.
The interior is equally stunning. The doors open, revealing a cabin that closely resembles the Continental GT. Detailed craftsmanship is evident on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The seats are wooden, featuring Bentley’s signature diamond pattern leather upholstery.
Weighing 907 kg, this car lacks an engine. However, it features rack-and-pinion steering, enabling it to roll and steer. The wheels and tires are also wooden. Aside from steel axles and acrylic windows, the entire car is a remarkable display of wooden artistry. While this unique Bentley Continental GT can’t be driven, it’s a luxurious showpiece for car lovers and art collectors.
