The traffic police stated that the law applies equally to all, and the vehicle was impounded because tinted windows are not permitted in Jammu. The owner must remove the illegal window tint and pay a fine to recover the car. The Supreme Court has issued guidelines for window tinting, requiring a minimum visibility of 70% for front and rear windows, and 50% for side windows.
