The Citroen C3 Aircross has secured a 5-star rating for adult occupant protection in the Bharat NCAP assessment. It received 27.05 points out of 33 for adult safety and 40 out of 49 for child occupant protection, resulting in a 4-star rating for child safety. This makes the Aircross the 22nd car to achieve a 5-star rating under the Bharat NCAP program. The crash tests revealed that the Aircross’s structure and footwell area were stable and could withstand further loading. The protection levels for adult occupants were rated as good to adequate across all body regions in frontal and side impact tests. The side pole test demonstrated full head protection via curtain airbags. Child occupant protection was also strong, with full protection provided to both 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies when using ISOFIX anchorages and support legs. The vehicle comes standard with i-Size anchorages. The Citroen C3 Aircross includes over 40 safety features, such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill-hold assist, all-seat 3-point seatbelts with reminders, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The body structure is engineered with High Strength Steel (HSS), Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), and Ultra High Strength Steel (UHSS) to maximize crash energy absorption. The SUV also offers comfort and convenience features like LED projector headlamps, automatic air-conditioning, power-folding ORVMs, a soft-touch dashboard, rear AC vents, and relocated power window switches. Transmission options comprise 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and 6-speed automatic. Seating configurations available are 5-seater and 5+2 seater. Engine choices include a 1.2L PureTech 110 turbocharged petrol engine producing 110 PS and 205 Nm and a 1.2L PureTech 82 naturally aspirated petrol engine. The price of the Citroen C3 Aircross ranges from Rs 8.32 lakh to Rs 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
