Hyundai India has officially rolled out the second-generation versions of its immensely popular compact SUV, the Venue, and its performance-oriented sibling, the Venue N Line. Promising to elevate the compact SUV experience, these new models boast substantial upgrades in design, technology, and safety, aiming to maintain and extend their strong market presence.
The exterior styling has been significantly revised for a bolder, more contemporary look. A prominent rectangular grille with dark chrome detailing and advanced quad-beam LED headlamps define the front. Distinctive C-shaped DRLs and a connecting light bar across the rear enhance its premium appeal. The side profile is enhanced by new 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome door handles, while the rear features connected taillamps and a sculpted design for a commanding road presence.
Inside, the cabin presents a completely redesigned interior featuring a sophisticated dual-tone palette of dark navy and dove white. The dashboard is dominated by a captivating twin 12.3-inch curved display system, a segment-leading technological highlight. The dashboard trim receives a new terrazzo texture, adding to the luxurious feel. Passenger comfort is prioritized with a 20mm increase in wheelbase for improved rear legroom, complemented by practical additions like rear AC vents, sunshades, and reclining seats for extended journeys.
Safety receives a significant boost with the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS technology, enhancing driver assistance and collision avoidance. This advanced suite is complemented by a comprehensive list of standard safety features, including six airbags, ESC, a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. Convenience features have also been upgraded, offering wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a voice-controlled sunroof, front ventilated seats, and customizable ambient lighting.
Powertrain options for the new Venue include a 1.2-liter petrol, a 1.0-liter turbo petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The diesel variant now offers the convenience of a 6-speed automatic gearbox alongside the existing manual transmission. The Venue N Line is powered exclusively by the dynamic 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
The new Hyundai Venue is launched with a competitive starting price of Rs 7,89,000 (ex-showroom). This attractive pricing strategy, coupled with its extensive list of premium features and advanced technological integrations, is expected to make the new Venue a strong contender in India’s compact SUV segment.
