The Indian automotive retail sector saw a downturn in July 2025 after a three-month period of growth. The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) reported a 4.31% year-on-year and 1.98% month-on-month decrease in overall vehicle sales. Passenger vehicle retail sales reached 328,613 units in July 2025, slightly down from 331,280 units in July 2024, marking a 0.81% YoY decrease. This followed a 10.38% increase from June 2025 sales figures of 297,722 units. The rural and urban sectors offered increased support, while vehicle manufacturers are also concentrating on new product launches. Consequently, both vehicle manufacturers and dealerships are anticipating the festive season.
