Honda’s recent patent filing for an updated Scoopy model has fueled rumors about a possible launch in India. The company, known for its competitive two-wheeler segment presence, patents various vehicles, sometimes leading to actual market releases. The 2025 Scoopy showcases design updates, including a redesigned front end and a round LED headlight with daytime running lights. It will also have a new full LCD instrument cluster with displays for eco-driving, fuel efficiency, and service reminders. The overseas model is equipped with a 109.5cc air-cooled engine producing around 9 bhp and 9.2 Nm of torque, coupled with a CVT transmission. This same engine powers other Honda models available in India, such as the Dio and Activa. Despite the patent, reports indicate that the Scoopy patent may be for IPR purposes, making a launch in India uncertain. The Scoopy is currently available in countries like Indonesia and the Philippines.
