A passenger aboard a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru had an unexpected and uncomfortable travel experience, getting stuck in the plane’s restroom mid-flight. The door lock malfunctioned shortly after takeoff, trapping the passenger inside. Despite the crew’s attempts to unlock the door, they were unable to do so. To alleviate the passenger’s distress, the crew communicated through a note slipped under the door, urging them to stay put until the plane reached Bengaluru. The incident, which occurred on a flight that departed late, garnered amusement on social media when photos of the note circulated online. Upon landing, ground staff were able to open the door. The airline has issued an apology and offered a refund.
