A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru saw a passenger endure an unexpected journey: trapped in the lavatory. After the flight took off, the passenger was unable to exit the restroom due to a faulty lock. Despite efforts from the crew to unlock the door, the passenger remained confined until the plane landed in Bengaluru. To provide reassurance, the crew passed a note to the trapped passenger, asking them to remain calm until arrival. The event was widely discussed online, with many users finding humor in the situation. The incident, which happened on a flight delayed by a couple of hours, concluded with the ground crew opening the door upon landing. SpiceJet has since apologized to the passenger and reportedly offered a refund.
