Mahindra’s XUV 3XO, which was initially introduced in the Indian market as the XUV300 in 2024, is expected to get new variants. The current model showcases a well-designed cabin, a comprehensive feature set, and several engine options. The ex-showroom price ranges from about ₹7.49 lakh to ₹15.80 lakh for the top-end AX7 L Turbo AT variant. The diesel version starts at an estimated ₹9.99 lakh.
To further boost sales and strengthen its presence in the compact SUV segment, Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to launch the Mahindra XUV 3XO with hybrid and electric powertrains by 2026. This could become the first hybrid model for Mahindra in India, combining a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with a robust hybrid system.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is anticipated to feature a small 35kWh battery pack, connected to an electric motor. Both the hybrid and electric versions might see changes like ‘Hybrid’ or ‘EV’ badges, new alloy wheels, and instrument cluster software updates.
The Mahindra Vision X concept, showcased on August 15, 2025, offers a glimpse of the brand’s upcoming compact SUV. The design of the new XUV 3XO is expected to be influenced by the Vision X concept and might utilize Mahindra’s new NU IQ platform, which supports different powertrains.
The Vision X concept has a striking appearance, though the production model is expected to have some design changes. The concept has a closed grille with the Mahindra logo, a bonnet, a coupe-like windshield, aero-optimized dual-tone alloy wheels, door handles, and black cladding along the sides. While the launch date is still unannounced, it is expected to rival the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Sonet in the subcompact SUV segment.
