Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to introduce its inaugural electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, in the Indian market. The car was presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Production is scheduled to begin on August 26th, paving the way for a likely launch soon after. The e-Vitara is positioned to rival electric SUVs like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and MG Windsor EV.
