Renault India is actively working to enhance its market position, with plans including the revival of the Duster. The company has updated vehicles like the Triber and Kiger. Though the launch date and specific details are not officially released, it is anticipated that the Duster will launch in early 2026. The third-generation Duster has already been introduced in South Africa, where it’s priced at the equivalent of ₹23.36 lakh. The absence of the Duster since 2022 has left a gap in Renault India’s vehicle offerings, especially considering the competition in the compact and mid-size SUV segments. Key competitors will include the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Citroën C3 Aircross. The new Duster uses the CMF-B modular platform, and powertrain options will include a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine, a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG dual-fuel engine.
