A passenger aboard a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru endured an unexpected ordeal when they became trapped in the aircraft’s lavatory throughout the flight. The airline has issued an apology and offered compensation to the passenger. The unfortunate event occurred after the passenger entered the restroom shortly after takeoff. The door’s locking mechanism failed, trapping the individual. The crew’s efforts to open the door were unsuccessful, leading them to deliver a handwritten note of reassurance under the door. The note instructed the passenger to remain seated until the flight landed in Bengaluru. The situation quickly gained traction on social media, with users sharing the note and making humorous comments. After the plane landed, ground staff intervened to free the passenger by forcing open the locked door. The flight was delayed, departing from Mumbai at 2:10 AM instead of its scheduled time of 10:55 PM.
