In anticipation of the implementation of GST 2.0 in India, Bajaj Auto, a leading global two-wheeler manufacturer, has decided to reduce the prices of its vehicles. The price cuts range from 20,000 to 24,000 rupees. These reductions will be applicable to both Bajaj and KTM motorcycles, as KTM is a subsidiary of Bajaj. The lowered prices will be effective from September 22, coinciding with the nationwide implementation of the new GST rates.
This initiative aims to facilitate vehicle purchases for numerous families and small businesses that depend on dependable and cost-effective modes of transportation. Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director at Bajaj Auto Limited, acknowledged the government’s decision to lower GST on two and three-wheelers as a courageous step, which is expected to stimulate demand and fortify the industry. Further price reductions are anticipated with the onset of the festive season.
