Maruti Suzuki India and the Rajasthan Transport Department have signed an MoA for the development of 21 Automated Driving Test Tracks (ADTTs) across 20 cities in Rajasthan. The project, undertaken as part of Maruti Suzuki’s CSR program, aims to enhance the transparency of the driving license testing procedure and align it with the Central Motor Vehicle Rules.
The tracks, equipped with sophisticated technology like high-definition cameras, RFID sensors, and video analytics, will cater to applicants of two-wheelers and light motor vehicles. The initiative is a key component of the Rajasthan government’s 10-year Road Safety Action Plan, and is expected to reduce road accidents. This project builds on Maruti Suzuki’s existing network of automated tracks, which already spans multiple states, with plans for further expansion.
The MoA signing in Jaipur saw the presence of key government figures, including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Premchand Bairwa.
