Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles marked Raksha Bandhan with a touching initiative in partnership with TV9 Network, named ‘Raksha Ka Bandhan’. Female employees at the Durga Line of the Jamshedpur plant created special rakhis for truck drivers, highlighting the bond of protection and care.
The women at the Durga plant are involved in the production of safe trucks, featuring advanced safety systems like crash-tested cabins and ADAS. They understand that these trucks are crucial for the drivers’ livelihoods. To these women, each driver is seen as a member of their extended family, regardless of prior acquaintance.
The rakhis were more than just ornamental threads; they symbolized prayers for safe travels and a message of well-being from afar. These rakhis journeyed from Jamshedpur to the Kalamboli Transport Nagar in Navi Mumbai, traversing multiple states. Truck drivers across various locations received these rakhis, experiencing an emotional acknowledgement of their dedication and hard work.
TV9 Network documented the entire initiative, from the creation of the rakhis by the women employees to the touching moments of the rakhis being tied onto the drivers’ wrists. The resulting coverage across TV9’s platforms turned the corporate venture into a national celebration of human connection.
This initiative reinforced Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ commitment to safety and care. It honored the truck drivers, who are vital to the nation’s progress, by ensuring the continuous flow of goods. The campaign provided a reminder to the drivers that their safety and their contributions are deeply valued.
