The government is planning to revise the Goods and Services Tax (GST) structure, with potential benefits for buyers of small cars and motorcycles. The new system could see small cars, currently taxed at 28 percent with an additional cess, move to an 18 percent tax slab. Conversely, luxury cars and SUVs may face higher taxes. Entry-level motorcycles are also expected to see a reduction in GST, with a possible shift from 28 percent to 18 percent for models up to 350cc.
