TVS Motor will launch the NTorq 150 on September 1st, aiming to broaden its reach into the 150cc scooter market. The original NTorq, introduced in 2018, has established itself in the 125cc segment, known for its appealing design and connectivity features. The teaser indicates the NTorq 150 will retain its core design but with a more aggressive appearance, including sharper lines and a bolder front fascia. LED lighting, incorporating quad-projector headlights and T-shaped daytime running lights, will contribute to its distinctive road presence.
While engine specifications remain undisclosed, the scooter is anticipated to feature a 150cc engine, likely producing around 12 bhp. The NTorq 150 will compete against models like the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR 160, and Hero’s upcoming Zoom 160. Potential features include larger 14-inch wheels, a rear disc brake, a smart connected system with a TFT screen, and multiple ride modes. TVS is marketing the scooter towards adventure enthusiasts with the tagline “Don’t feel the same.” Deliveries are expected soon after the official launch. The scooter could also be equipped with 14-inch alloy wheels on both ends, a first for a TVS scooter.
The existing NTorq 125, launched in 2018, has maintained a strong position in the sporty 125cc scooter market in India for seven years, consistently updated and featuring special editions such as the Marvel Super Squad. The new NTorq 150 is designed to carry forward this success, boasting increased power, larger wheels, and a more striking design.
