In a major decision, the Uttar Pradesh government will be waiving off old e-challans. The Transport Department has stated that approximately 12 lakh pending challans will be cancelled. This initiative is expected to ease the process for obtaining various vehicle-related documents and services. The decision encompasses all non-tax e-challans issued between 2017 and 2021 and aims to reduce the burden on the judiciary and facilitate smoother services for vehicle owners across the state.
