Mercedes-Benz is recalling several models, including the EQS Sedan, GLS, AMG SL55, and S-Class, due to a potential fire risk. This recall is the sixth of its kind this year for the automaker. The primary concern involves fuse boxes that may not have been correctly rewired, potentially leading to system malfunctions and unexpected loss of vehicle power. This could further compromise the instrument cluster, heightening the risk of accidents and physical harm. The company has identified approximately 16 EQS sedans, 9 S-Class vehicles (including Maybach variants), 3 GLCs, and 2 AMG SLs as being affected. Owners will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz to arrange free repair appointments. Previous recalls on March 12th and 29th were related to similar fire risks, along with other issues like software glitches and missing warning labels.
