Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris, a new mid-size SUV in India. The car, designed for five passengers, is set to be available through Arena outlets. Pricing is expected to range from ₹10 lakh to ₹18 lakh. A key highlight is that the Victoris marks Maruti’s debut in the CNG segment, offering a significant advantage in terms of boot space. The exterior design, while sharing some traits with the e-Vitara and Grand Vitara, has a distinct European influence. Rear styling includes boomerang-shaped 3D LED lamps connected by a light bar, a wide tailgate, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the car features a large touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional features include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, a steering wheel with mounted controls, and various drive modes. The Victoris offers two hybrid powertrain options: a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol and a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid petrol. Furthermore, it includes a CNG-powered variant with a unique hidden-tank S-CNG engine, providing a larger boot and a more spacious interior than the Grand Vitara. The Victoris will compete against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Toyota Hyryder. The SUV has been awarded a 5-star rating by Bharat NCAP and comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a Dolby Atmos sound system, and a power-operated tailgate. Export plans include distribution to over 100 countries, and bookings are currently open for ₹11,000.
