Tuesday’s book launch in New Delhi featured a compelling call from Amitabh Kant, former NITI Aayog CEO, for multilingual AI as the gateway to true technological empowerment. During interactions post the ‘Smarter Than the Storm’ unveiling, the ex-G20 Sherpa insisted AI must master diverse languages, from vernaculars to international tongues.
Kant envisions India pioneering in next-gen tech, with the book focusing on AI’s capacity to mold adaptive economies and governance. ‘Compatibility with renewables—solar, wind, clean energy—is non-negotiable,’ he urged. ‘Make it adaptable with precise software direction for peak performance.’
Co-author Siddharth Sinha lauded the India AI Mission’s role in equalizing access to compute resources and datasets. Echoing this, the India AI Impact Summit has spotlighted India’s global AI prowess.
At the launch, Sinha noted that solutions to community problems will originate locally, powered by AI in areas like disaster prediction, efficient data centers, and fire monitoring. Balancing this, he addressed AI’s significant energy usage.
In an era of rapid uncertainty, this book provides strategic foresight, blending climate action, AI advancements, policy reforms, and growth plans—rendering it vital for leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries driving progress.
