  • RPF Latest News: IG Sir! SR DSC has sent you this letter… Staff will do 18 hours duty, do you agree with this order?

RPF Latest News: Prateek Chauhan. Senior Divisional Security Commissioner of Raipur Railway Division i.e. SR DSC Raman Kumar has issued a schedule for the train escorting party of RPF. This schedule has also been informed to the IG of South East Central Railway Zone. Now the biggest question is whether the IG of the zone agrees with this order or is there any scope for improvement in it? Now let us tell you what this order is and how according to this order the RPF staff has to do duty for more than 18 hours. Another important question is whether any order has been taken from the Railway Ministry to make the staff do 18 hours of duty or the officers are making the staff do duty by issuing such orders on their own discretion. In this regard, the Commandant and IG were called to know the side of the RPF officers, but they did not answer the phone.

On September 14, Raipur Railway Division’s RPF Commandant Raman Kumar (Sr DSC Raipur Raman Kumar) has issued an order. In which, skirting has been ordered in Durg-Vishapatnam-Durg Vandebharat Express and Puri-Durg-Puri Express.

But perhaps the senior DSC sahab forgot the human aspects before issuing this order or it could also be that he issued such an order even after knowing everything? However, how such an order was issued is a matter of investigation for the senior officials of RPF.

In this order, he has said that 1+3 staff will do escorting from Durg RPF post. That is, one officer and 3 jawans. This staff will escort the Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express leaving from Durg at 5:45 am to Mandirhasaud. They will reach there at 6:38 am.

After this, they will escort the Puri-Durg Express from Mahasamund. They will leave at 9:04 am and reach Durg at 11:55 am. After this, they will again escort the Durg-Puri Express from Durg at 4:10 pm and reach Mahasamund at 6 pm. From Mahasamund, they will again escort the Visakhapatnam-Durg Vande Bharat Express and leave at 9:02 pm and reach Durg at 10:50 pm.

    How many hours of duty?

According to this order, if we calculate the duty from 5:45 am to 10:50 pm, then the duty is more than 17 hours. After this, the jawan and ASI or SI will take the weapons from the arms house for escorting, and will maintain a diary at the police station while coming and going. This is a duty of more than 18 hours. The matter does not end here. The RPF officers are again making the same escorting party do this duty the next day.

Now the question is whether the officers have the permission to issue such orders or are they using their discretion to make the RPF Jawans do 18-hour duty.

Why is this skirting duty difficult?

Lalluram.com tried to know from a RPF staff who does scouting in trains that how easy or difficult is this 18 hour duty assigned to them? In this, they are getting rest for about 9 hours as well, right?

The pain expressed by this soldier will send chills down your spine. He said, there is a difference between travelling in a train and doing duty. The soldier said that when you will board a train carrying a 30-35 kg heavy weapon, torch, walkie-talkie and your luggage, you will come face to face with the reality.

He said that the weapons which he gets issued in the morning are deposited directly at night. However, the Jawan also said that it feels good when 100 percent TA is claimed but he does not want such TA which makes him do such duty and he can only see his wife and children sleeping at home when he comes and goes.
