Mithlesh Gupta, Jashpur. On the day of Dussehra festival, a tragic accident took place in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. A one and a half year old girl died due to drowning in a vessel (tub) filled with water while playing in Pakargaon. There is mourning in the house due to the death of the innocent child and there is an atmosphere of mourning in the village.

According to the information received, the girl was playing in the courtyard of her house in Pakargaon of Pathalgaon police station area. While playing, she reached near a tub filled with water and suddenly fell into it. By the time the family saw her, they pulled the girl out of the water and immediately took her to the hospital, but the doctors declared her dead. Pathalgaon police have established a probe into the case and have sent the girl’s body for post-mortem. The police is investigating the matter.

The body of one child was found stuck in the village Belchua canal gate, while the body of another child was washed away in the pond of village Ragja. The bodies of both the children have been recovered and sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
