  • Big police action against smugglers in CG: 928 kg silver worth Rs 9 crore recovered during checking, GST team engaged in investigation

    Shivam Mishra, Raipur. Before the festive season, police has exposed major smuggling in the capital Raipur. Actually, today the police was engaged in routine checking in Maudhapara police station area. During this time, an Ashok Ley-Land vehicle loaded with cartoons was stopped by the police personnel for search and when they opened the cartoon and saw it, they were stunned because silver ingots were kept inside the cartoon. After this, when other cartoons were opened, silver ingots were also found in them.

    Sunny Kumar Singh, the youth traveling in the vehicle, could not give any valid document related to the ownership of silver to the police, after which the police recovered 51 cartoons filled with silver ingots.

    Let us tell you that during checking, the police informed the GST department about finding a cache of silver, after which the GST team reached the spot and seized the silver. The total weight of silver seized by GST is 928 kg, whose value is estimated at Rs 9 crore. The GST team has started taking advance action in the matter.

  • CG CRIME: FIR lodged against 10 people in case of woman committing suicide, SP said – strict action will be taken against the culprits after investigation

    Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The wife of a railway employee committed suicide by hanging herself in Nyadhani Bilaspur on Sunday. Before committing suicide, he went live on Facebook and accused some influential people of the city and 10 people including his neighbor Pappu Yadav of molesting and harassing him. Apart from this, a post has also been made which includes the names of all the accused. Today the police have registered an FIR against all these accused and have started investigating the case. This incident took place near Sai Mandir in Civil Line police station area.

    Let us inform that today SP Rajnesh Singh went to the house of the deceased and talked to the family members. After this, he has given the responsibility of investigating the case to Civil Line CSP. SP said, the post and video posted by the deceased on Facebook before committing suicide will be taken seriously. There is a big reason behind committing suicide, that is why someone attempts or commits suicide. “All aspects will be impartially investigated to find out the real reasons behind the suicide, if anyone is found guilty, strict action will be taken against them.”

    Pappu Yadav is a history sheeter

    It is noteworthy that Pappu Yadav, whom the woman has mentioned in the video made before suicide, is a history-sheeter of the area. There are many cases against Pappu Yadav in the past including land grabbing, hooliganism and terrorism.

    Case 1- During the contract work, Pappu had a dispute with the director of Anil Buildcon regarding the account of crores, after which Pappu Yadav was accused of entering the house in the middle of the night, threatening and assaulting him. Tarbahar police had also registered a case against Pappu.

    Case 2- In the matter of land dispute, people of Muslim community had complained against him, on which no action has been taken till now. It is alleged that his land has been encroached upon by Pappu Yadav.

    Case 3- Pappu Yadav had arrived with a sword to threaten the operator of Anna Dosa operating in front of Magneto Mall. At that time the video of him waving the sword had gone viral. The police had registered a crime against him.

    Case 4- A few years ago, Sameer Mishra, a dentist living near Magneto Mall, was also tortured by Pappu Yadav. Ultimately the doctor got upset and left the locality. The doctor had complained about the harassment at Tarbahar police station.

    This case has shocked not only the victim’s family but the entire city. Bilaspur Police is now investigating all the allegations seriously. SP Rajnesh Singh has ensured that there will be no let-up in the process of justice. In such a situation, it remains to be seen how long will it take for the culprits of the woman’s suicide to be punished.

This action has created a stir among the clinic operators. Due to negligence in health services in the district, the Collector has given instructions to take action against private clinics, pathology labs and quacks operating without permission. The team formed under the leadership of Giroudpuri SDM Ramratan Dubey has started action against illegal clinics. Due to this action there is an atmosphere of fear among quacks. Many operators have closed their clinics and fled. Similar action has been taken in Kasdol area also.

    The Collector had given instructions to take action against hospitals, clinics and pathology lab centers operating without valid permission. Under this, a joint team of SDM, BMO and SDOP conducted a surprise inspection in Sonakhan tehsil. Earlier too, Kasdol BMO Dr. Ravi Shankar Ajgale had inspected and issued a notice, but despite this the operators were operating illegally.
