  • DGP Ashok Juneja got six months extension, order issued on Sunday…

    Raipur. The state government has extended the tenure of Director General of Police Ashok Juneja by six months. The Home Department has issued an order in this regard on Sunday.

    In an order issued by the Home (Police) Department, on the proposal of the State Government, the All India Services (Death cum Retirement Benefits) Rules have been relaxed in the public interest and an extension of 6 months in the service period of the Director General of Police (Head of Police Force) beyond 04.08.2024 has been approved.

    With this order, DGP Ashok Juneja will now remain in office till February 2025. Earlier, on the proposal of the Union Home Ministry, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet had approved a six-month extension.

  • Deputy Director of Employment Exchange became a victim of fraud, fraud of Rs. 6.42 lakh in the name of bank KYC update

One such recent case has come to light in Bilaspur district, where a cunning fraudster has cheated the Deputy Director of Employment Office of Rs 6 lakh 42 thousand online by luring him to update the KYC of his bank account. This case is of Sarkanda police station area. After the complaint of the incident, the police have registered a case against unknown accused and have started investigation.

    According to the information, Vishnu Prasad Kedia, who lives in Mopka of Sarkanda police station area, is a deputy director in the employment office. On May 10, he received a call on his mobile, in which the caller introduced himself as a bank officer and lured him into getting his SBI account KYC done. After that, he was asked to transfer money in installments on different pretexts. On this, the unknown accused transferred Rs 6 lakh 42 thousand in different installments, yet the money was being demanded. Then the deputy director realized that he had been cheated online. After which he lodged a report of the incident at the police station. On the report of the victim, the police have registered a case against the unknown accused under section 420, 66 G and are investigating.

They made serious allegations against the ashram superintendent and questioned the arrangements. The students say that the ashram has become completely dilapidated. Due to heavy rain late at night, a piece of the roof fell on a sleeping student. Fortunately, the injury was not serious due to the mosquito net, but one student has suffered an injury on his shoulder. The students are protesting in front of the Collectorate regarding this problem and they say that they will not go back without meeting the collector. The hostel building can cause a major accident anytime.

    The students made serious allegations against the superintendent Satyabhan Bhaskar and said that the superintendent drinks alcohol and abuses the children. The superintendent enters the children’s rooms at midnight every day and beats them. He wakes up the sleeping children and beats them with sticks and belts. All the children are terrified and have gathered courage and left the ashram. The students say that they will not go back without meeting the collector and if action is not taken against the superintendent, it will become difficult to stay in the ashram. The students sitting outside the collector’s office are shouting slogans, “Collector sahab come, give us darshan.”

    Heartless superintendent, no officer reaches, whom to complain to

    The students told the media that they are fed up of the Superintendent’s harassment. The Superintendent has been beating them mercilessly for years. The ashram has 100 seats, but the Superintendent has also kept college students in the ashram, due to which the crowd has increased a lot. Three children lie on one bed. The ashram has become completely dilapidated and water drips from the roof. This roof can fall anytime, which can cause a big accident. This problem was told to the Superintendent many times, but he ignored it. Due to fear and panic, the children never got the courage to come out and complain. No officer ever comes to the ashram. The children do not even know the Mandal Convenor. The Superintendent’s attitude has never been good with the students.

    All the students are scared of superintendent Don, they are not getting food as per the menu

    The allegations of the students did not stop here. They said that they never get food as per the menu. They get soup like water with turmeric and salt, which contains only a few grains. Vegetables are also of the same kind and they never get eggs. There is a chart in the ashram, but the superintendent does not provide food as per the menu. The reason behind this is that all the students are afraid of the superintendent Don.

    Repair work worth more than 20 lakhs in last three years

    In the last three years, repair work worth more than 20 lakh rupees has been done here by the District Panchayat and the Tribal Development Department. Engineer Khan says that the District Panchayat installed tiles, putty, aluminum windows and did other repair work for about 12 lakhs. It has been three years since this work was done. After this, the Tribal Development Department also got some work done, but its cost is not known.   • High speed bike collides with trailer, one youth dies, two injured

    Manendra Patel, Bhilai. Last night, three bike riders collided with a trailer going ahead at the signal in Khursipar Gate Bhilai. In this accident, a young man riding the bike died, while his two companions are seriously injured, they have been referred to Durg District Hospital for treatment. Police has seized the trailer and started investigating the incident.

    According to the information received from Khursipar police station, the deceased has been identified as Lokesh Chandel (23 years) resident of Janjgir-Champa. Lokesh used to work as a porter in Daldal Seoni of Raipur. He had come to Durg with his two friends for some work. From here, all three were going from Bhilai to Raipur on the same bike. Lokesh’s friend was driving the bike and Lokesh was sitting behind. All three had consumed alcohol. They were driving the bike very fast in an intoxicated state. A big trailer was going ahead of them.

    At around 9.30 pm, as soon as the red light came on at the signal near Khursipar Gate, the trailer driver applied brakes and stopped the vehicle. The bike rider coming from behind could not control and the bike directly collided with the rear of the trailer. Lokesh got a severe head injury and fell unconscious on the spot. Lokesh died before reaching the hospital. Two companions are injured, who are undergoing treatment. Khursipar police has seized the trailer and started investigation.

  • Making video on railway track proved costly, accused YouTuber arrested by RPF

    Raipur. Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a YouTuber for making videos endangering public safety by criminally tampering with railway tracks for his own publicity. An immediate investigation was conducted after a viral video on Twitter showed a man placing various objects on the railway track. Investigation revealed that the culprit Gulzar Sheikh has uploaded more than 250 videos on his YouTube channel and has more than 2 lakh subscribers. His on-camera activities posed a major risk to both railway safety and operations.

    After a detailed analysis of Sheikh’s YouTube profile and social media presence, the RPF registered a case under various provisions of the Railway Act on August 1. Following this, a joint team of RPF and local police arrested Gulzar Sheikh, son of Syed Ahmed, from his residence in Khandauli village, Soraon (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh.

    Director General RPF, Lucknow Division appreciated the prompt and effective action taken by the RPF. He said that legal action against Gulzar Sheikh will serve as a strong deterrent to persons attempting to compromise the security of Indian Railways. He reiterated the importance of railway security and assured the public that any attempt to undermine rail security will be met with determination and strict legal action and those involved in such activities will be prosecuted to ensure maximum punishment.

    Actually, on June 01, Satyanarayan Puja was organized at the house of a villager in Vivekanand Nagar village. In which Sinni Prasad was made from raw cow milk. Villagers attended that puja and ate the Prasad. But the milk of the two cows used to make Sinni Prasad, both of them were bitten by mad dogs of the village. When those two cows die about 90 days after Satyanarayan Puja, the owners of the cows go to the hospital and secretly get the rabies vaccine. But when this news gradually spreads in the whole village, the villagers, fearing rabies infection by eating the Prasad made from the milk of those cows, informed the health department officer about the entire incident and demanded rabies vaccination in the village.

    After which, seeing the seriousness of the matter, a team of the health department has been sent to Vivekanand Nagar village for vaccination. So far, more than 150 villagers have been given rabies vaccine. Also, information about all the people who participated in that Satyanarayan puja is being collected from the villagers.
