  • Prashant Kishor To Launch New Political Party In Bihar’s Patna On October 2 |

Patna, Bihar – Poll strategist Prashant Kishor and chief of the Jan Suraaj campaign, is set to unveil his political party on October 2, providing a fresh alternative to the electorate of Bihar. The official launch will take place at a grand event at the veterinary college ground in Patna, where Kishor will reveal the party’s name, its constitution, and introduce a 25-member leadership team, including the designated party president.

Kishor, known for his innovative approaches to election management, has made it clear that he will not assume any official position within the new party. Instead, he will continue to focus on his ongoing “Padyatra,” a foot march that has garnered significant attention and is expected to conclude in Supaul before moving into Araria post-launch.

Sources indicate that the Jan Suraaj campaign anticipates a massive turnout, aiming for as many as 50 lakh supporters at the foundation event. This ambitious gathering underscores Kishor’s commitment to challenging the entrenched political landscape in Bihar, which has been dominated for decades by figures like Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and the BJP.

Having roots in Rohtas district and belonging to the Brahmin community, Kishor is particularly vocal about moving beyond the traditional caste and religion-based politics that have characterized the state’s political scene. Over the past two years, he has been meticulously building a political base, positioning himself as a formidable challenger to established political leaders.

Kishor’s journey began with a ‘Padyatra’ from the Bhitirahwa Gandhi Ashram in West Champaran. Initially planning to cover 35,000 kilometers, he has since extended that goal to 45,000 kilometers and has now walked over 55,000 kilometers. His extensive outreach has primarily focused on North Bihar, where he has traversed through various districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Madhubani, Begusarai, Khagaria, and Supaul. After October 2, he plans to continue his journey into Araria.

Through this extensive grassroots engagement, Kishor aims to connect directly with the electorate, presenting his new political movement as a viable alternative to the established political powers in the region. As the launch date approaches, all eyes will be on Kishor and the Jan Suraaj campaign, marking a potential turning point in Bihar’s political landscape.

  • ‘Why Are Sadhguru’s Daughters Married While He Preaches Hermit Life?’: Madras HC |

Isha Foundation’s founder and spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev faced flak by Madras High Court during a recent proceeding. The HC questioned the double standards on why he’s urging women to shave their heads, renounce worldly pleasures, and live like ascetics, while his own daughters seem to have opted for a more traditional route of marriage.

A bench of justices SM Subramaniam and V Sivagnanam was reportedly hearing a plea by a retired professor alleging that his two daughters who were well-educated had been ‘brainwashed’ into permanently joining and staying at the Isha Yoga Centre.

    S. Kamaraj, a former professor at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore, has filed a petition requesting the court to summon his daughters for an in-person appearance.

“We want to know why a person who had given his daughter in marriage and made her settle well in life is encouraging the daughters of others to tonsure their heads and live the life of a hermitess. That is the doubt,” Bar and Bench quoted the judges’ oral statement.

According to reports, both women, aged 42 and 39, appeared before the court on Monday, affirming that they are staying at the Isha Foundation of their own free will and are not being held against their wishes. This mirrors previous testimonies the women provided in the ongoing decade-old case, which stems from claims made by their parents, alleging that their lives had been turned into ‘hell’ since the women ‘abandoned’ them.

Ordering a deeper probe in the matter, the court asked the cops to compile a list of all cases linked to the Isha Foundation.

Meanwhile the Isha Foundation has issued a stetement asserting that women voluntarily choose to stay. “We believe that adult individuals have the freedom and wisdom to choose their paths. We do not impose marriage or monkhood, as these are personal choices. The Isha Yoga Centre accommodates thousands who are not monks, alongside a few who have embraced Brahmacharya or monkhood,” the statement read.

It also stated that it has only one ongoing police case, while another has been stayed by the court.

  • Costliest Way Of Getting Free iPhone: UP Man Lands Into Jail After Ordering Flagship Phone – Read |

LUCKNOW: A 30-year-old delivery man was allegedly killed when he went to deliver an iPhone to a customer who was supposed to pay him Rs 1.5 lakh for the product, police said on Monday. They said his body was dumped into the Indira Canal here and a team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been called to find it.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashank Singh said Gajanan, from Chinhat, had ordered the iPhone worth about Rs 1.5 lakh from Flipkart and opted for COD (Cash on Delivery) payment option. “On September 23, delivery boy, Bharat Sahu of Nishatganj, went to deliver the phone at his place where he was killed by Gajanan and his accomplice. After strangulating Sahu, they put his body in a sack and disposed it off in the Indira Canal,” he said.

When Sahu did not return home for two days, his family registered a missing persons complaint on September 25 at the Chinhat police station. While scanning Sahu’s call details and trying to trace his location, police found Gajanan’s number and managed to reach his friend Akash.

During interrogation, Akash confessed to the crime, the DCP fficer said. Police are yet to find the body. “The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team is trying to find the body of the victim in the canal,” the officer said.

  • Maharashtra Declares Indigenous Cow As ‘Rajmata-Gaumata’ To Combat Rapid Decline |

In a significant decision regarding indigenous cows, the Maharashtra government on Monday granted them the status of Rajmata-Gomata. The announcement came via a Government Resolution signed by Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, who noted, “Cows have been an important part of human life since ancient times. The cow has long been referred to as ‘Kamarrenu’ in recognition of its historical, scientific, and spiritual significance.” He further highlighted that while different breeds exist across the country, the numbers of indigenous cows are dwindling at an alarming rate.

Maharashtra is home to a variety of indigenous breeds, such as Devri and Lalkanari in Marathwada and Dangi and Shavdabhat in northern Maharashtra. However, the state has been facing concerns over the rapid decline in these native cows.

#WATCH | Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde says, “Government has made several decisions in the cabinet meeting. This also includes declaring ‘Gau Mata’ (indigenous cows) the ‘Rajya Mata’. This was demanded by several people and seers. We have finally declared this today. Now… pic.twitter.com/7cexZh4Q1j
    — ANI (@ANI) September 30, 2024

To address this issue, the government hopes that the new designation will motivate farmers to raise and care for indigenous breeds, which are integral to Ayurvedic practices like Panchagavya and traditional farming methods. “The decline in the number of Indigenous cows is a matter of concern,” the Government Resolution stated, urging livestock farmers to prioritize the rearing of these culturally significant animals.

  • Pakistani National, Family Illegally Living In Bengaluru Nabbed After 6-Year Ruse |

A Pakistani national and his family were arrested by Bengaluru police for allegedly living illegally in the city for the past six years. The couple, who reportedly used fake identities, were detained along with two others during a raid in Jigani on the outskirts of the city on Sunday. According to preliminary investigations, the man, originally from Pakistan, married his wife in Dhaka, Bangladesh, before moving to Delhi in 2014. They later shifted to Bengaluru in 2018. The two others arrested are the man’s in-laws, who were also living with them under fraudulent documents.

“Our Jigani Inspector investigated a matter and registered a case. Four people of a family were residing here illegally with the help of fraudulent documents,” a senior police officer stated. He added, “Now, a case has been registered and those four people are being interrogated. Based on the outcome of the interrogation, we will take further action.”

The family had been living in a rented house in Jigani and allegedly managed to secure identity documents using fake names. Police are currently probing the man’s network and activities, particularly focusing on his connections and whether he was involved in any illegal businesses.

“We have collected details about them and are investigating the case. They were supplying materials to a garage, but that needs to be investigated further,” the officer explained. When pressed for details about any seizures made during the raid, the officer simply stated, “It is part of the investigation.”

Home Minister G. Parameshwara also addressed the situation, emphasizing the need for thorough investigation. “How did they come? Why did they all come? All these will be investigated. If they had been in India for the past 10 years… if this is true, why didn’t the Intelligence Agencies track them? They even went to the extent of getting an Indian passport; obtaining Aadhaar is nothing for them. They changed their names and were running a restaurant as well,” Parameshwara remarked.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are keen to uncover how this family managed to evade detection for so long and what further actions will be taken against them.

  • UP International Trade Show Opens New Doors For Budding Entrepreneurs |

The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, which commenced on Wednesday at the India Expo Center and Mart, is proving to be a game-changer for new entrepreneurs. They are thrilled to showcase their products on a global platform and are also appreciative of the Yogi government’s support in expanding their businesses.

These entrepreneurs believe that presenting their products on such a prestigious stage is a significant opportunity, as it has attracted an excellent response from both Indian and international buyers, marking a milestone in their business growth.

The excitement among young entrepreneurs is evident, with approximately 277 of the nearly 400 exporters at the export pavilion being new to the field. Most of these exporters launched their businesses just 2-3 years ago, and their products have garnered strong interest from buyers at the exhibition, setting the stage for future growth.

*Left the job as a CA and started a startup*

Dilip Chauhan, a young entrepreneur from Siddharthnagar and founder of Divyam Aahar, left a promising career as a Chartered Accountant to launch his startup. His product, “Kala Namak” rice, has received an overwhelming response.

According to Chauhan, the government’s efforts to promote startups have supported young business owners like him. His product, which is part of the One District, One Product initiative, has gained traction in India and international buyers. Chauhan credits this success to the government’s consistent support and encouragement.

Gargi Gaur, a resident of Mathura and founder of Chini Mitti India, is equally excited about having the opportunity to showcase her products at the International Trade Fair.

She shared that this is the second time her brand has participated in the event and that the previous experience also provided tremendous exposure. “We received visits from many buying agencies last time, and this year, we’re even more enthusiastic because, along with Indian buyers, international visitors are also attending. The positive response we’ve received so far makes this trade fair an excellent opportunity for us.”

Saharsh, a young entrepreneur from Gorakhpur specializing in terracotta products, echoed the excitement, stating that the B2B sessions at the trade show have been incredibly valuable.

“I’ve had the chance to connect with numerous exporters, and our products have received great feedback. Recently, we began exporting to countries such as Germany, Nepal, and Australia. These exhibitions give us much-needed visibility, which is a massive opportunity for growth.”

Kirti, a Vrindavan-based entrepreneur from Mathura who handcrafts clothes for deities, expressed her gratitude for the platform the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show provided. “Being part of this event is a significant achievement for me. I had a stall last year, and the response was overwhelmingly positive, and this year is no different,” she shared. “This is my second time at the trade fair, and the response continues to be fantastic, whether from international buyers, B2B clients, or wholesale customers within India and abroad. We’re seeing visitors from Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, and nearby areas, all of whom are showing great interest in our ‘Bhagwan ji’ stall. I’m deeply grateful to the state government for offering us such a valuable platform to showcase our products on a large scale.”

  • India To Maintain Forward Post Deployment Against China During Winters As Differences Persists: Report |

India and China recently agreed to pull back their forces from some points. However, the political-level talks and the military-level talks appear to be the two sides of a coin. According to a report, the Indian Army has decided to continue its forward post-deployment against China on key LAC points in Sikkim, eastern Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh for the fifth successive winter. India has so far avoided falling into China’s trap of the waiting game and maintaining its strategic troops deployment has deprived the PLA from making any further unjust advancements.

A Time of India report said that the Indian Army will go full-throttle with its troop deployment along the harsh LAC terrains as the ‘trust deficit’ on the border with PLA leadership remains high. The report said that while there are signs of narrowing differences at the political level, but the same is yet to have a trickle-down effect at the military levels.

    Why The Trust Deficit

According to various recent reports and satellite images, China has continued to build permanent military infrastructure as well as bridges on its side of the LAC including in the Indian areas in its occupancy since 1962 and before. This has sent alarm bells ringing into the rank and files of the Indian defence establishment. The reports also claimed that China continues to deploy more forces on its forward military positions along the 3,488-km LAC. It shows that despite the political level talks, the PLA is not returning to its peacetime locations.

According to the report, Indian Army General Upendra Dwivedi and the commanders-in-chief of the seven army commands will review the operational situation and preparedness along the LAC in the second week of October.

    What India Wants

India is keeping a close eye on every development taking place on the Chinese side of the LAC. India feels that the first step of de-escalation will begin only if China disengages from the Depsang and Demchok points. Due to confrontations at Depsang and Demchok and the creation of buffer zones at  Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso-Kailash Range and Gogra-Hot Springs have resulted in a situation where Indian troops are not able to access 26 of their 65 patrolling points between Karakoram Pass in the north and Chumar in eastern Ladakh, reported TOI.

  • Earth’s New ‘Mini Moon’ 2024 PT5: How To Spot It Before It Disappears; Attention Stargazers! |

Tonight, while most of India sleeps, the Earth will welcome a temporary ‘mini moon’ with a celestial twist linked to India’s Mahabharata. Dubbed “2024 PT5”, this newly discovered space rock is about 10 meters in diameter and will orbit Earth for the next 53 days before returning to the far reaches of our solar system.

From September 29 to November 25, “2024 PT5” will make its brief visit, capturing the attention of stargazers and space enthusiasts alike. But don’t expect to spot it with the naked eye—this tiny, dull rock requires specialized equipment for viewing.

    Why Can’t We See It?

“2024 PT5” is 350,000 times smaller than our Moon, whose diameter is 3,476 kilometers. Its small size means it won’t be visible without a telescope of at least 30 inches in diameter and advanced detection tools, according to astronomers. Simple binoculars or home telescopes won’t suffice for this cosmic visitor. Special telescopes will detect the mini moon after 1:30 AM, though the dimness makes it a challenge even for seasoned stargazers.

    Is Earth in Danger?

No need to worry! Experts at ISRO, India’s space agency, are monitoring the mini moon through their Network for Space Objects Tracking and Analysis (NETRA), ensuring it won’t collide with Earth. Dr. Anil Kumar, head of NETRA, reassures that “2024 PT5” is part of a safe orbit and poses no threat.

    The Story Behind ‘Mini Moons’

Objects like “2024 PT5” that temporarily orbit Earth are not entirely rare. Astronomers Carlos de la Fuente Marcos and Raúl de la Fuente Marcos explain that Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) often pass close to our planet, sometimes entering temporary orbits. Known as ‘mini moons,’ these objects stay for a few days or months before continuing their journey through space. Past mini moons were observed in 1997, 2013, and 2018.

     The Arjuna Connection

What makes “2024 PT5” even more fascinating is its connection to the Arjuna Asteroid Group, a unique group of near-Earth asteroids with resonant orbits. These asteroids are named after the legendary warrior Arjuna from the epic Mahabharata, known for his bravery, wisdom, and swift arrows—reflecting the swift and unpredictable nature of these celestial objects.

The “Arjuna” group was first identified when astronomer Robert H. McNaught discovered the asteroid “1991 VG” in Australia. Inspired by Arjuna’s character, McNaught named the group after the hero, and the International Astronomical Union (IAU) officially approved the name.

    How to Catch a Glimpse

To see this mini moon, you’ll need professional-grade equipment. According to Marcos, “2024 PT5” can be spotted with telescopes featuring a 30-inch diameter or larger, equipped with CCD or CMOS detectors. Without such tools, catching a glimpse of this fleeting visitor will be nearly impossible.

    Looking Ahead

The “2024 PT5” was discovered by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS), funded by NASA, on August 7, 2024. Since then, both NASA and ISRO have been tracking its orbit. This mini moon will complete its journey and disappear by November 25, 2024, after its brief yet fascinating visit to our planet’s orbit.

Whether you’re a professional astronomer or simply curious about the wonders of space, “2024 PT5” offers a unique opportunity to marvel at the mysteries of the cosmos—even if it’s from a distance. So, set your alarms and aim your telescopes skyward, because this mini moon won’t be sticking around for long!
