  • On Jammu Not Voting For NC-Congress Alliance, CM-Designate Omar Abdullah Says This |

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah on Wednesday for the first time talked about the expectations of the public and party’s way forward. Abdullah was speaking after Congress and NC alliance managed to clinch 49 seats out of the 90 membered assembly making three seats more than the required majority mark of 46 seats and is poised to make the government in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Abdullah said, “Now the time has come for us to work for the benefit of the people of J&K. I am also acutely aware of the fact that there is a sharp divide between Kashmir & Jammu.” He stated that the incoming government would bear a significant responsibility as Jammu people need strong sense of belongingness.

Highlighting that his government will be the voice of the people, Omar Abdullah asserted, “The Government that comes in in the next few days will not be just NC’s government or of the alliance but of those that voted for us.” He indicated that the government would represent every individual in Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of their voting choices or participation in the election.

Abdullah added that special attention would be given to providing a sense of ownership and ensuring representation for areas with fewer MLAs in the coalition.

Meanwhile, NC leader Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday declared that Omar Abdullah is set to become the next Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. When questioned about the party’s choice, he confirmed, “Omar Abdullah will be the chief minister.” He also emphasized, “People have given their mandate, they have proven that they don’t accept the decision that was taken on August 5.”

Farooq Abdullah further commented that the election results clearly demonstrate the public’s rejection of the abrogation of Article 370. “The people have given their verdict and proven that the decisions taken on August 5, 2019, are not acceptable to them,” he noted. Expressing his gratitude, he added, “I am thankful to everyone that the people participated in the polls and did so freely. I am grateful to God for the results.”

  • Why ‘Jalebi’ Became A BIG Deal In BJP’s Haryana Poll Victory? One Kg Sent To Rahul Gandhi’s Residence |

The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is in celebration mode after pulling off what the experts are referring to as ‘unthinkable’. However, the saffron party went above to slam the taste of victory in the face of the Opposition, as the party sent out a box of Jalebi to the Congress veteran Rahul Gandhi’s residence. This apparent gesture was meant as a jibe at Gandhi’s recent remarks about a local sweet shop during an election rally at Gohana rally.

The results have defied the claims made by several pollsters, and the ‘incumbency’ at play. The BJP clinched 48 seats in a 90-membered assembly, while the Congress party finished in second position with 37 seats.

The BJP’s Haryana unit shared a snapshot from a food aggregator app showing an order for 1 kg of the popular dessert, jalebi. The order was placed from a well-known shop in Delhi’s Connaught Place and delivered to 24, Akbar Road, titled “Jalebi for Rahul Gandhi ji.”

“On behalf of all workers Bharatiya Janata Party Haryana, jalebi has been sent to Rahul Gandhi’s house,” the Haryana BJP shared the order on X.

Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, known for her controversial remarks, posted a photo of herself sharing jalebi with party leaders. In a social media post, she remarked in Hindi, “Today’s jalebi was a little too delicious.”

What Is the Big ‘Jalebi’ Deal?

It all started when Rahul Gandhi, while campaigning in Gohana, praised the iconic Matu Ram halwai’s jalebis. He suggested that this local delicacy could be sold nationwide and even exported, if produced in bulk in a factory—offering the potential to create jobs.

However, his comments quickly sparked jokes and memes online, with many pointing out that jalebis are best enjoyed fresh, not mass-produced in factories.

Rahul Gandhi came up with a new business idea and employment model-

Interestingly, Gohana’s jumbo-sized jalebis became a sweet talking point in the Haryana polls. Both Gandhi and Prime Minister Modi referenced Matu Ram’s legendary creation in their speeches during their respective campaigns. Earlier in May, Modi had used the famous “Matu Ram ki jalebi” to criticize the opposition during a Lok Sabha rally.

Co-owner Raman Gupta also mentioned that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Congress leader Deepender Hooda stopped by the shop while on their campaign trails.

  • ‘Guarantee Of Development Has Overpowered Lies: PM Modi After Big Victory In Haryana |

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed party workers in Delhi on Tuesday following a third consecutive victory in Haryana. PM Modi slammed Congress and said that the guarantee of development has overpowered the knot of lies. He stressed that this is the first time a government has been formed in Haryana after completing two consecutive terms of five years.

He said, “The victory in Haryana is the result of the hard work of the party workers, JP Nadda, CM Nayab Singh Saini. Today, the guarantee of development has overpowered the knot of lies. The people of Haryana have created history. Haryana was constituted in 1966. 13 elections have been held in Haryana so far, out of which in 10 elections, the people of Haryana have changed the government but this time what the people of Haryana have done never happened before. For the first time, a govt has been formed in Haryana after completing 2 terms of 5 years…”

Reacting to the polls in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years, he stated that based on the vote share percentage, the BJP has emerged as the largest party in the region.

“Peaceful elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir, votes were counted and results were declared and this is the victory of the Indian Constitution and democracy. The people of Jammu and Kashmir gave the mandate to the NC alliance, I congratulate them too. If we look at the vote share percentage, BJP has emerged as the biggest party in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Earlier, PM Modi shared a post on X, assuring the people that the party would leave no stone unturned in fulfilling their aspirations. “I salute the people of Haryana for giving a clear majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party once again. This is the victory of the politics of development and good governance. I assure the people here that we will leave no stone unturned to fulfil their aspirations,” the post read.

  • BJP Accuses Tejashwi Of ‘Looting’ Bihar Dy CM’s Bungalow, Claims Bed, Sofas, Water Taps Taken Away |

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday alleged that the former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and his men stole the furniture, including bed and sofas, wash basins and water taps, from the government bungalow before vacating it. The development comes in the backdrop of incumbent Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary shifting to the residence, previously held by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav.

Samrat Chaudhary was allotted the bungalow at 5 Deshratna Marg in Patna recently and is set to move in, on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami. A major controversy broke out before he shifted into the government residence. Tejashwi Yadav has been accused of robbing the government bungalow of essentials, including water taps, and lights.

Shatrughan Prasad, Personal Secretary of Samrat Chaudhary, told IANS, “We are bringing to light how the Deputy CM’s house has been robbed of its belongings. When Sushil Modi had shifted to this house, there were two hydraulic beds, there were sofa sets for guests and this was for everywhere to see, including the press. All those things are missing.”

“More than 20 split ACs are missing. There is no computer or chair in the operating room. There is no fridge or RO in the kitchen. Lights have been snatched from the walls,” he added.

Danish Iqbal, Bihar BJP’s Media In-charge, who also inspected the premises, said, “Samrat Chaudhary has been allotted this bungalow and was to shift to this house in Navratri. Essentials such as wash basins, water taps, and furniture are missing. The hydraulic bed has been taken away. The mat in the badminton court has been taken away. The gym is empty, there are no exercise machines. Foundation’s lights have been taken off.”

The sensational charge is set to escalate the political bickering in the state, though RJD is yet to react to the raging controversy. Meanwhile, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who hails from Bihar, has slammed the RJD leadership and demanded a detailed probe to establish the scale of ‘theft’ at the Deputy Chief Minister’s residence.

  • Mismanagement, Dehydration, And Exhaustion: What Caused 5 Deaths At Chennai Air Show? |

Chennai Air Show Mishap: The spectacular display of 72 aircraft at Chennai’s Marina Beach on Sunday turned tragic for some spectators, as at least five people died due to causes like extreme exhaustion, PTI reported. Around 200 others were hospitalized, mainly for dehydration.

A senior police official cited by the news agency said that one person died at the beachfront, while four others passed away in nearby areas. He confirmed that all five were among the 1.5 million spectators gathered along the several-kilometer stretch of shoreline to witness the Indian Air Force’s prowess.

In a statement from the Tamil Nadu government, cited by ANI, authorities confirmed that all patients admitted to Royapettah and Omandurar hospitals have been discharged, with only two remaining in stable condition at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. The statement denied any claims that crowd mismanagement was responsible for the deaths.

Several pictures surfaced from the incident site, where emergency workers can be seen carrying unconscious persons in stretchers to nearby shelters. Over 30 people were rushed to nearby government hospitals with symptoms of dehydration.

BJP, AIADMK Slam Tamil Nadu Government

AIADMK leader Kovai Sathyan on Sunday demanded the resignation of the Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian by labelling the incident a ‘complete mismanagement.’ He blamed the government’s ‘incompetency’ for the Chennai Air Show incident.

“When you have an incompetent person as your chief minister, his counsel of ministers will also be incompetent. You cannot accept a better result than this,” the AIADMK leader said adding that Chief Minister MK Stalin watched the event peacefully with family while common man struggled.

“In front of my eyes, children were falling. There was no public address system that could guide the people. There were no booths giving water and there was no medical assistance,” he added.

“Ma Subramanian has any one element of empathy and self-consciousness he should resign as the health minister,” Sathyan asserted.

Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai criticized the DMK government for its alleged failure to make adequate arrangements for the upcoming 92nd Inauguration Day celebrations, accusing the administration of negligence in ensuring basic facilities.

In a post on X, BJP chief Annamalai expressed his shock over the incident and held the DMK government responsible. “I was shocked to hear that 5 people died due to crowding and more than 200 people were injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment during the IAF ‘AIR Show’ program held at Chennai Marina Beach. The only reason for this is that the DMK government has not taken care of the safety of the public without providing basic facilities and adequate transport arrangements for the public who came to witness the IAF Air Show,” Annamalai stated in his post.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian Responds

In a post on X, the Tamil Nadu Health Minister said that arrangements were made considering all the demands of the Air Force officers.
“Full administrative cooperation of the Government of Tamil Nadu was extended to successfully conduct the Indian Air Force Air Adventure Program at Chennai.

He further said that the state government formed two medical teams, comprising doctors and nurses for emergency response during the show.

  • Patna ISKCON Chief Accused Of Rape By Rival Faction; Scuffle Videos Go Viral: Reports |

In an incident that sparked widespread outrage, Patna International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) chief Krishna Kripa Das has been accused of rape and sexual harassment by his rival side. Krishna Kripa Das is not new to controversy and he faced similar allegations in the past as well when RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav accused him of molesting girls in 2021.

The chief of Bhagalpur ISKCON temple Giridhari Das has accused president Krishna Kripa Das of harassing a girl and assaulting those who raised the issue,  reported Dainik Bhaskar. After receiving information about the incident, police from the Kotwali station arrived at the scene and began investigating the matter

A temple bouncer allegedly attacked the other side’s priests with a stick. Protector Giridhari Das stated that ISKCON authorities had been informed about the embezzlement and other incidents carried out by Krishna Kripa Das. A meeting was called on Sunday to resolve the issue, but a dispute broke out between the two sides.

Upon hearing about the case, DSP Law & Order Krishna Murari Prasad also reached the Kotwali station and questioned the victims. Bajrang Sena members also arrived with his supporters, demanding action against the Patna temple president.

However, Patna ISKCON’s chief priest and spokesperson, Nand Gopal Das, denied the incident, stating that no such altercation took place within ISKCON and that the allegations of assault are false. DSP Law & Order said CCTV footage is being reviewed. Some videos of the alleged incident have gone viral on social media.

DSP Krishna Murari Prasad further stated that after questioning both parties, one thing became clear: a person who had transferred to Bhagalpur was previously involved in some issues here as well. Such incidents in the temple reflect a lack of discipline, and the matter will be thoroughly investigated. CCTV footage is being examined, and the allegations made by one party will be investigated. An FIR has not yet been registered.

In 2021, Tej Pratap Yadav through a Facebook post accused Krishna Kripa Das and his supporters of destroying the temple culture. Yadav alleged that women and girls were harassed by the people heading the temple administration, reported Hindustan.
