Raipur. Retired IAS officer Rita Shandilya has been appointed member of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission. The General Administration Department has issued the notification of his appointment. Rita Shandilya will also hold the responsibility of acting president until the full-time president is appointed. Under the provisions of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulation 3(2), he has been authorized to perform the administrative duties of the Chairman. Till now Dr. Praveen Verma was taking charge as the acting president. Dr. Verma was appointed as a member in the Congress government.

CG Accident News: The tractor returning after immersing the idol went out of control and landed in a ditch, the driver died on the spot.
Pradeep Gupta, Kawardha. The series of road accidents in Chhattisgarh is not showing any signs of stopping. A fresh case has come to light from Kawardha district, where a tractor driver died in an accident during Durga idol immersion. This accident happened in village Bhonda of Bodla police station area.
According to the information, the tractor was returning after immersing the idol of Goddess Durga in the pond in village Bhonda. Meanwhile, the tractor went out of control and fell into the ditch, during which the driver driving the tractor died after getting crushed under the wheel. The name of the deceased is Sanju Maravi who is a resident of village Bhonda.
After the accident, the villagers present on the spot informed the Bodla police about the incident. After which the police reached the spot and established the investigation, sent the body for post-mortem and started investigating the case.

CG Road Accident: Uncontrolled pickup vehicle hits police constable, he dies on the spot
Sandeep Thakur, Lormi. An out-of-control pickup vehicle hit police constable Prashant Masih in Lormi, killing him. This incident took place in Bodtara village of Chilfi police station. When the villagers saw the dead body on the road, they immediately informed the police. After receiving information about the incident, the police has started necessary action.

CG News: Major accident during Durga immersion, youth dies due to drowning in pond
Sudeep Upadhyay, Balrampur. A major accident has occurred during Durga immersion in the district. Here a young man died due to drowning in the pond. This incident took place in Maheva village of Wadrafnagar development block. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, established a route and started investigation.
Today in Maheva village, the idol of Durga Mata was immersed with much fanfare in the pond of the village itself. A young man Shubham Singh (aged 20) suddenly died due to drowning while trying to catch the coconut that had been washed away in the pond.
According to eyewitnesses, Shubham Singh entered the water to catch the coconut that was thrown into the pond for immersion. Due to being stuck in deep water, he remained submerged in water for a long time. On receiving information about the incident, Wadrafnagar police reached the spot and took the youth out of the water and took him to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. This tragic incident has created a wave of mourning in the village. The police have established a case and started investigation.

Big police action against cattle smuggling: Inter-state gang arrested with 130 cows, accused used to sell cattle in Maharashtra and MP
Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. Khairagarh Police has exposed a big gang involved in inter-state animal smuggling. These gangs used to catch the stray cattle roaming in the forest area of Khairagarh district, take them to Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh on foot through the forest route and sell them. The entire matter was revealed today by SP Trilok Bansal in a press conference.
SP said that the police had received information that some people were going towards Madhya Pradesh with hundreds of cows through the forest route in the forests of village Mahuvadhar. On this, the police laid siege and arrested three accused along with a total of 130 pieces of cow progeny.
SP said, police is investigating the matter. The police came to know about the leader of inter-state cow smuggling, Sabar Ali Khan, a resident of Balaghat district. Sabar Ali was absconding since the case, who has been arrested by the police today. Let us tell you that till now the police have arrested seven other accused including the leader of the inter-state gang in this case. The police is preparing to register a case under various sections and confiscate the property of the accused.

Big action by NIA against Naxalism, two accused who supplied ammunition and weapons to Naxalites arrested from UP
Raipur. NIA has taken major action against Naxalism. Sudhir Tripathi from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and Suraj Nishad from UP, who supplied arms and ammunition to Naxal cadres, have been arrested. Both the accused used to supply arms and ammunition from UP to CPI (Maoist) in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
A total of 6 arrests have been made in this case so far. For the first time, 4 arrests were made in this case in January last year. The local police had seized arms and ammunition from the accused. NIA took charge of the investigation in January this year. During investigation, it was found that Sudhir and Suraj of UP supply weapons from Uttar Pradesh to Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. NIA has arrested both the accused. The NIA said the pair was in regular contact with Naxalites and were conspiring to support the banned terrorist group.

Raigarh. A workshop on cyber awareness and water conservation was organized in the Municipal Corporation Auditorium from 5 pm on Thursday. Supreme Court Justice Prashant Mishra was the chief guest of the program. Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary attended the program as a special guest. In the workshop, detailed information was given through presentation on cyber awareness and water conservation. This workshop was organized under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority and District and Police Administration. In this, District and Sessions Judge Raigarh Jitendra Kumar Jain, Collector Karthikeya Goyal, Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel, CEO District Panchayat Jitendra Yadav, all the judges from the District Court, officials of the district and police administration were present.
Addressing the workshop, Justice Prashant Mishra said that cyber awareness and water conservation are two topics which are directly related to the lives of all of us in today’s time. Being aware of it is the most important link to protect against cyber crimes. Today technology is developing rapidly. In such a situation, such crimes can be avoided by keeping ourselves updated and implementing information related to cyber crimes and methods to prevent them. Describing the incidents around him, he said that cyber thugs also try to cheat people in the name of people associated with judiciary. In such cases, it is necessary to act with caution and prudence. Regarding water conservation, he said that this is a matter in which participation of every citizen is necessary. Only by creating awareness and implementing water conservation measures can we create a better environment around us. For this everyone needs to work with positive thinking. He said that a good effort is being made by the District Legal Services Authority, District and Police Administration to make people aware. More and more people should take advantage of this and make others around them aware.
Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary said that it is necessary to increase the level of vigilance among the people as the scope of cyber crimes has increased rapidly. He said that people are now suffering more financial loss due to cyber fraud than crimes like theft. Praising the water conservation campaign of the district administration, he said that this is an important work towards the conservation of ground water and environment in Raigarh. He told that at the government level, work of planting Peepal trees is being done extensively by running ‘People for People’ campaign in Nava Raipur. This work has been done on a large scale in Raigarh district also. Work is being done to deliver the water of Kelo Dam to the farmers through canals. He said that nature worship has an important place in our culture. Keeping this in view, we all have to work together towards water conservation. He told that people are resorting to fraud to get more profit in less time, guarantee of getting money on clicking a link, online fake share trading scam, black mailing by shooting obscene videos, extorting money by cloning social media profiles, etc. People are being cheated in ways like demanding money by giving false information about harm to close ones, difficulty in delivery of online shopping etc. He said that one can suffer losses by trusting unknown people online. He said that you can avoid these crimes by taking steps like using social media profiles cautiously, using two-step verification.
