Central Government located in Varanasi Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport Rs 500 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion. Varanasi airport will be expanded using this money. A government order has also been issued by the Civil Aviation Department in this regard. It is estimated that a total of Rs 1018.25 crore will be spent on the expansion of the airport. In this regard, the Director of Civil Aviation has been asked to release the amount allocated in this regard to the Varanasi District Magistrate. With this, the process of purchasing land for the expansion of the airport will also begin.
