Good news for Ola-Uber passengers! Will not cost much during peak hours, bike taxis will also be available!
The Transport Department in Delhi has passed the bus and cab aggregator policy. The Transport Department has said that the policy has been brought with the aim of making the transport service of the state safer and more convenient than before. This policy has been finalized after taking public opinion. The policy has been sent to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the government’s approval. Regarding the cab aggregator policy, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said in a media statement that it has been made keeping in mind the interests of the passengers. Many provisions have been made through the policy for the safety of passengers. He said that once the policy is implemented, app-based cab service providers will have to register with the government within 90 days. According to Hindustan report, surge pricing has not been included in this. This means that the provision for fare increase even during peak hours has not been included in it. The main objective of Delhi Cab Aggregator Policy is to give special emphasis on the increase of electric vehicles in Delhi. It has been said that by 2030, app-based cab and delivery services running in Delhi will be converted into electric medium. Under the policy, bike taxis have also been included in Delhi’s transport system, but only electric two-wheelers will be valid for this. This provision has been made keeping in mind the Delhi EV Policy 2020. Apart from this, the government has set a deadline for the aggregators to convert the vehicles into electric ones. According to which, after the implementation of the policy, the cars newly added to the fleet will have to be converted to electric within the first 6 months. Whereas for goods carrying two-wheelers and three-wheelers (this also includes cargo and passenger vehicles), it has been said that 10 percent of them will have to be converted to electric within 6 months of the implementation of the policy. -

There is indication of quad camera setup in its rear. Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC can be found as processor in Xiaomi 14 Pro. It may have a 50 megapixel primary camera. Its 4,860 mAh battery may come with support for 120 W wired fast charging. Dual speakers can be provided in this smartphone. Its size can be 161.6 x 75.3 x 8.7 mm. The battery of this smartphone is 4,820 mAh which supports 120 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. India used to be the top market abroad for Xiaomi, but due to decline in smartphone sales in the country, the company has suffered a big loss. Big companies like Samsung have also made a dent in its market share. To increase demand, the company has reduced the prices of many of its smartphones. The main reason for the decline in sales of Xiaomi smartphones is their high prices. For this reason, the company has planned to launch smartphones in the low price segment also. Apart from this, Xiaomi is also preparing to increase its presence in offline retail. It gets a major part of its sales through online channels. -
There will be no need of licensing for import of computers and laptops in India

Government may give incentives worth millions of dollars to Apple and Dell to make laptops in India
The central government is planning to provide financial incentives to companies producing laptops and tablets in the country. These companies include Apple and Dell. With this, China will also be able to compete as the production base of these companies. To reduce imports, the government wants to increase the production of laptops and tablets and also make the country an export hub in the long run. The Technology Ministry has made changes to an already existing plan for this and has consulted with the executives of electronics companies on this. Have asked for suggestions. Sources with knowledge of the matter said it could include incentives worth more than $500 million per company. The scheme aims to attract Apple, Dell, HP and Asus to increase or start production in the country. The government especially wants to encourage Apple to manufacture iPads in the country. The company is already assembling iPhones in India through its Taiwanese suppliers. In a government document seen by Bloomberg News, incentives worth Rs 4,500 crore have been offered per company. However, for this, foreign companies will have to invest at least Rs 700 crore in five years in addition to the expenditure incurred till March last year. The incentives will depend on the local components procured by these companies and could be up to about 6 percent of the sales of finished products. However, this plan can be changed after consultation with the industry. Last year, a scheme worth Rs 7,350 crore was launched to increase manufacturing and exports of IT products like laptops, tablets and personal computers in the country. However, due to low incentives, these companies did not take interest in it. Apple’s new iPhone 14 will be made in India. Apple hopes to grow its business rapidly from this world’s largest smartphone market after China. The company started manufacturing in India in 2017 with the iPhone SE. It is manufacturing advanced iPhone devices including iPhone SE, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 in India. iPhone 14 has also been added to it. -
Amazon will launch satellite internet service in India! Will give competition to Jio and Airtel
Amazon is reportedly working towards launching its satellite-based internet service ‘Project Kuiper’ in India. To provide satellite broadband service in the country, the company has started the process of applying for licenses in various government departments. The purpose of this service is to provide internet to rural and remote areas. The company is preparing to launch about 3,236 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites in the coming years. Internet will be provided to every corner of the country through these satellites. The Economic Times reports that Amazon has applied to the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) to launch satellite internet services in India. If the application is approved, Amazon will get regulatory approval. To launch Project Kuiper in India, Amazon will also need a Global Mobile Personal Communication (GMPCS) license from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). According to the report, Amazon will reportedly offer internet with speeds up to 1 Gbps. It is said that its ‘affordable broadband’ will be available across the country. It will also reach those areas where there is no internet facility. According to the company’s website, Project Kuiper aims to deliver internet through 3,236 LEO satellites. However, these satellites are yet to be launched. Half of these satellites can be launched by the year 2026. Amazon’s e-commerce service and Prime Video service are also expected to get a boost with the launch of broadband internet service. Amazon is not the first company that wants to start satellite internet service in the country. Elon Musk’s company Starlink is also making this effort. It had started pre-booking for satellite internet service a few years ago, but customers were later refunded their money. At the same time, OneWeb and Jio Satellite have received GMPCS license from the government. The company has not said anything about what will be the cost of Amazon’s satellite internet service and how much money people will have to spend for this facility.
