New Delhi: Chhattisgarh has been adjudged the cleanest state within the Central authorities’s annual cleanliness awards, with Maharashtra bagging the second place adopted by Madhya Pradesh. 
The ‘Swachh Survekshan Awards 2021’ had been introduced by President Ram Nath Kovind within the presence of Union Housing and City Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and others at an occasion in Delhi. 
Elated on the win, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel mentioned, “I congratulate the individuals of Chhattisgarh for his or her enthusiasm in the direction of cleanliness. Each public consultant, official and minister has labored in the direction of this.”

Within the class of states with over 100 city native our bodies, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh gained the second and third cleanest states within the nation awards. Within the class of states with lower than 100 city native our bodies, Jharkhand ranked first, adopted by Haryana and Goa.
In the meantime, Indore was adjudged India’s cleanest metropolis for the fifth time in a row. The second and third positions within the ‘cleanest metropolis’ class had been secured by Surat and Vijayawada, respectively.
