Dantewada. Police is continuously getting success in Naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh. Influenced by the Lon Varatu campaign, 18 Naxalites have surrendered. All of them were active in Bhairamgarh and Malanger Area Committee.
The appeal of the police is having a widespread impact on the Maoists. Leaving the path of violence and expressing faith in democracy and the Constitution, 18 Maoists have surrendered after being influenced by the ‘Lon Varatu Campaign’. The surrendered Maoists were active in Bhairamgarh and Malanger Area Committee. All these Maoists were involved in the incidents of digging roads, cutting trees and putting up Naxalite banner posters during the Naxalite bandh. Let us tell you that under the Lon Varatu campaign, till now a total of 738 Maoists including 177 rewarded Maoists have surrendered.
