Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. A major accident was averted on Tuesday in Bilaspur Collector’s office. The false ceiling of Collector Avnish Sharan’s chamber suddenly fell, although Collector Sharan was not present in the chamber at the time of the incident. Due to this, a major accident was averted. This incident exposed the maintenance of PWD and serious questions are being raised on the maintenance system.
According to the information, this incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, when this incident happened the collector was not in his room. Many parts of the collector’s office building are in dilapidated condition and complaints of water dripping from the false ceiling were also being received continuously. After this incident the collector has given instructions for maintenance, after which the department has started maintenance.
